Report on a trip to China
After a journey of almost 20 hours, we are in Hanzghou, the city where our company’s headquarters and entire purchasing and shipping department are located. On the first day, we managed to drive the entire West Lake – one of the most famous lakes in China, whose cultural landscape is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. And today we had the pleasure of meeting our office colleagues for the first time and working at our headquarters. But before that, we were able to visit the picturesque Buddhist Lingyin Temple, which houses the monastery of the Khan School, founded in 363, making it one of the oldest monasteries in the Middle Kingdom.
During the visit to the temple, our colleague Cathy, introduced us to some of the local traditions. We touched a large ladle to cleanse ourselves of negative energy, threw in a coin for good luck, lit incense sticks and bowed to the four corners of the world. Now we just wait for our luck and good fortune.
