Excursion to Shanghai and farewell dinner
On the last day of our trip to China, our colleagues, Jessie and Cathy, treated us to an unforgettable excursion in Shanghai!
Upon arrival, we were greeted by the breathtaking sights of the Bund waterfront promenade overlooking the Yangtze River and the iconic skyline, featuring landmarks such as the towering Shanghai World Financial Center and the renowned Oriental Pearl TV Tower.
Strolling through the city center, we immersed ourselves in its vibrant ambiance, punctuated by souvenir shopping and indulging in the delectable ‘Tanghulu’, a traditional Chinese snack comprising fresh fruit coated in a luscious syrup and skewered on bamboo sticks
Our journey continued with a visit to Buddhist Jing’an Temple, built in 247, making it one of the oldest buildings in the city. Temple’s serene presence juxtaposed against the backdrop of towering skyscrapers, created a striking contrast.
Concluding our tour, we embarked on a scenic bus ride through the city’s heart, further enriching our understanding of Shanghai’s dynamic spirit.
In the evening of the same day, a farewell company dinner was held.
Together with the Chinese team, we sat at a table full of a variety of often very surprising dishes (including duck tongues!).
The evening was full of pleasant conversations, toasts, sharing impressions, and discussing plans for the future.
During the dinner, we also celebrated the birthday of our colleague, Wiktoria Cichoń. Once again, happy birthday, or rather 生日快乐! :)))
The whole trip provided us with a huge dose of knowledge and many valuable experiences.
Many thanks to the whole Chinese team and our CEO, Ms. Ania Kubicka, for organising the whole stay and for the warm welcome.
We hope to see you soon!
